Introduction
To immerse ourselves into the mysterious and city of Paris, we were tasked to pick a line and study its wonders. Our team picked line 13. As I start this journey, I like to think of Paris as a living being, imagine that its like a human body and I am traveling through its veins – the metro lines- to be able to reach deep into the most unexpected parts of it.
Paris Metro line 13 is the result of the fusion between the old line B of the train of Nord-Sud company and the old line 14 of CMP (Paris Metropolitan Railway Company). In 1976 Line 13 was expanded and it reached one end of the metro Line 14, which caused the merge of the two lines and the disappearance of line 14. Later in 1998 the number 14 was used to name another line.
